What is the best thing that you love about your grandfather? If he is gone, what do you remember that you loved about him? I will read and rate each response. Thank you in advance.

I love the way he avoided gossip. my grandmother and her friends would all be gossiping and he'd call me over, and the two of us would walk down to the fields, or go out to the workshop. He was a stern man, but he walked with a nobility to him. I miss him a lot.

My grandfather is more that 80 years old now,and he is very healthy. He is a very kind and warm-hearted person, and I love him very much! I lived with him when I was a young boy. But now I only see him 1-2 times every year because he lives with my parents in my hometown. I spent a happy childhood with him. I can't remember the best thing, but I can remember he often bought me candies which I like the best when I was a boy. At that time he had a farm where there are many kinds of melons and fruits. Maybe the best time was to eat fresh fruits! I'll see my grandfater in the coming new year holiday! I miss him very much. Expecting the coming of my holiday!

My grandfather on my dads side was a hard working farmer who worked from sun up to sun down and still found time even for his grandkids. I remember he talked so softly, never harsh or loud. My grandfather on my moms side was a tiny little frenchman, who worked in a steel mill. I remember him rocking me to sleep alot. It was our quit time and he would hold me and sing to me and rock me to sleep. I really loved that. I would rub my hand on his rough wiskers as he rocked me. Funny what you remember the most.

The thing I liked most about my grandfather was that he was a police officer. He was a very compassionate man who would do anything in his power for someone in need.

the person whom i call grandfather is not actually my biological grandfather (i don't know my biological grandfather coz he actually left and never looked back). but the 2 persons i loved the most in this world are my grandfather and my grand-grandfather. i lost my grandfather almost 3 years ago, and my grand-grandfather about 9 years ago. they were there for me. because of them my world is a better place and my childhood a happy one. they used to tell me stories when i was a kid, and i've learned to enjoy my life from them. my grandfather was a teacher and each time i had exams he used to cheer me up like noone else. he used to make me think that there is nothing in this world i can't do if i set my mind to. i still miss them the most and i'd wish i had the chance to bring them back somehow. if i will ever have kids i think that their world will be more sad an poor because they will never have the chance to learn things from them and to grow up to be better and happier persons
