13 years ago my dad was diagnosed with leukemia. He went through high dose chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant. Luckily, my dad has a twin brother who was an exact match. He went through hell but has been in remission for quite some time. This summer my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer. I mean, both parents with cancer???? She got her first chemo treatment two days before my dad's 13th anniversary of being in remission. While she was going through radiation by dad was admitted into the hospital for chest pains. Surprisingly my dad had 7 blocked arteries and needed open heart surgery. HOW IS THAT FOR CRAZY!!!!! I mean are you kidding me? It's has been a crazy year and I am glad it is over.
