Do you read motivational books to regain the lost confidence when you are down and out or to improve the self-confidence that you have? How often this reading helps?

I have read a variety of motivational books and some have unique methods. Yes, the mainly say similar things but their approaches can be as different as night and day. I also get 7 or eight different motivational newsletters. When the authors begin to recycle themselves, I unsubscribe and find an new one.

Again, do you think those books help you when you lack in confidence or is it just an euphoria?

Thanks to the autors, there are many books most of them say the same things and there are no controversy about their saying. I do read various books on motivation, leadership and character building activities and they give so much insight, each time I hit upon some now way of achieving those objectives in the life.
