What's different in your Christmas 2006 from past Christmases?

Christmas has come and gone, yet I never felt the true meaning of Christmas. They say that Christmas is the time of Jesus' birth. It's a time to celebrate that birth, yet with the alternately hot weather here in the Philippines and the dying breed of carolers, I can't seem to FEEL that it's really Christmas. Of course, there's still the gift-giving, but there's still something missing. I can't seem to find out what it is. Maybe it's the lack of cool wind, the lack of the bibingkas, or simply the lack of the Christmas spirit... I don't know. How about you? what's the difference of your Christmas 2006 from your other Christmases?
