Home Delivery

Today I popped into Somerfield Stores (Blackwood) Wales, I am slightly disabled and had nmy 2 small children with me. I purposely went in there as the sign by the door offered free home delivery, the poster didn't state anything else. After I filled the trolly with a weeks shopping (up to the top) I went to the checkout and asked for home delivery. The checkout operator said there was no home delivery they only offered it every other Saturday. This is the biggest load of nonsence I've ever heard. I had to leave my shopping as there was no way I could carry it. I asked to see the manager and spoke to the checkout superviser and to be honest she didn't care and was quite blunt. She said that I needed to get a leaflet and ask first???? The posters didn't state this or delivery every other Saturday, so how was I supposed to know? As far as I'm concerened Somerfield lost a large sale and I will never be going there again and will tell my friends and family of the shoddy service.

I feel for you i really do! I thinks it terrible how all shops seem to dumped their customer services policy. There is no care in the world anymore. I have a somerfield in my town and I refuse to shop in there as the staff are so rude! They seem to dislike their jobs, and dont like serving the customers. Never mind its their loss, id rather pay a little extra for better service in my other local supermarket instead.
