Best TV show that was cancelled?

What was the best TV show you ever saw that ended up cancelled? And please, don't anybody say CopRock! Seriously, I enjoyed WonderFalls, Conviction, and early 1990's series on Fox called Strange Luck. Shows that I like that were later cancelled included Pretender, Profiler, Sisters.

The TV show I enjoyed the most that came to an abrupt end was the british series called The Prisoner. Whereas over 25 episodes were planned to be filmed, it stopped after 17 episodes, due to complaint to the BBC that the story was too 'cryptic'. Whoever knows this series from the 60s will agree that you needed a special frame of mind to follow it. But wasn't it also the case with Twin Peaks, another excellent weird series that, fortunately, carried on to the end?

I vaguely recall seeing this show in repeats somewhere. The trouble is that new shows have to cath on immediately or they get canned. Used to a show would get a season to build some steam. Not so any more.

Wow, there have been so many. Firefly, Farscape, Angel the Series (see a theme? Poor Tim Minear, he did Wonderfalls too), the Insider, Touching Evil, Millenium, Harsh Realm, Once a Thief. So many shows that I like are cancelled that sometimes I'm afraid to watch ones that look good to me, because surely they won't last, lol. Veronica Mars looks to be getting the ax after this season as well. Oh, and Carnival (sobs quietly).

I feel sad for you....which is why I stay away from new TV series so...but I got hooked on The Pretender after it was cancelled...that's what I get for not watching! You know...both Touching Evil and Carnivale featured two awesome actors from The Pretender! Just thought I should add that. :)

I too was going to say WonderFalls. I loved that show. I plan to buy the DVD set of the series.

Futurama! It is coming back though. Also Veronica Mars which is also coming back! Ohh and Firefly!! It was such a great show I can't believe it was cancelled, the characters were all so excellent. Same with Angel.

I love The Pretender! Sisters was great too, I didn't even realise that's what happened to it. Anyway, I still am campaigning for more of The Pretender...want to join? :)
