I have a 6 year old lab mix. For about the last 6 months she has had a cold or something like that. I've taken her to the vet and paid hundreds of dollars for them to say, I don't know... Well, her nose is all swelled up and she sneezes constantly. It's probably just allergies or she's sucked something up one of her nostrils. I give her benadryl and it does not help and her noises are driving me CRAZY. I know she can't help it, but I feel helpless and don't know what to do to fix her. There has to be a solution!!!! I don't have thousands more dollars to take her to the vet to have them tell me that they can't figure it out! If you know what this is, or have any ideas to help her, please please please let me know !!! THank you very much!

The best thing to do is consult a vet. It might be fatal for your dog.

I would think if the dog had something stuck up her nose that your vet would of checked? Did the vet look up her nose? With that aside...I would ask you if you have changed anything in your home? Shampoo, cleaners, rugs, perfume, anything new added about the time this started? The dog could be alergic to something....that was newly introduced to her home. Has she been boarded in a kennel? It could be Kennel cough. Is the outside of her nose swelled up? If so she may have something stuck in it...a thorn, maybe got cut? or a porcupine quill that snapped off? If this persists I would definately call the vet and ask them if the looked up the dogs nose...ya never know she may have something lodged... Hope you figure something out so she doesn't suffer any longer. Good luck!

That's just it, You think it would be that simple, but I guess it's not. The vet is telling me that I would need to take her to a college to have those tests performed, that she cannot do them herself. I just don't understand. Her nose swells up all over, one lump will come up, then it goes down and two more come up. Then sometimes her WHOLE nose swells up and she then will look like a very mean pit bull. I just wish I could help her!!!!!! Poor doggie :-(
