I'm working for a bank answering telephone and answering peoples questions. Anyway, when they gave me the tour of the place they showed me some rooms with cots in them and told us that they were for when you feel dizzy. Is this a normal part of the job? One other thing that they had was a pain killer despenser for you headaches. Is this something that is a normal part of this business.

I have worked in a call center before but not a banking calling center so I couldn't tell you if this is normal in that industry!? LOL It's quite odd though...I have never heard of this. But I guess they are trying to be funny too... Or maybe it's a test to see if the "newbies" or the "new hires" actually fall for it? :) You never know. Or maybe this new job of yours CAN get stressful!? :) Good luck on your new job.

lol, that's scary! that bank must be a tough place to work in. i'm wondrin if the 'dizzy room' and the painkiller dispenser are for employees' use only or for clients too. if it's also for the latter, then i'd be hesitant to bank or do business with them, lol!

I've never heard of such a thing. Sure seems kind of odd.
