What kind of animal would you be if you could choose one?

If you had the choice to be an animal-what animal would you be? What type of animal has similar characteristics? This is one of those interesting questions that probably has a few levels of meaning. Think about it and we'll see what we get the most responses for

Will you consider a bird as an animal?
I would like to be a large bird, probably an eagle. It fascinates me to watch the birds catch an air draft and soar seemingly forever, never even flapping their wings.
In my dreams I fly, just spread my arms and run till I lift off the ground, free to soar above the earth, free of the burdens that tie me down in real life. My mind, body and soul breaking their bonds and escaping.
In reality, I am afraid of heights.
