I see kids wasting a lot of time playing video games. what are your views on video games, are thay contructive or are thay just wasting valuable time?

i think that some of the computer games are really a threat on the childrens life because there kids could see battle, shots and much others and they want to try them.but some of the computer games are educative and it is not putting the kids life in danger.they can even learn something good from them.

It really depends on what type of games you play. There are video games that can help you improve your memory or thinking. An example is simulation game like Capitalism. In this game, you need to think of a strategy to grow your business. This can also be applied in real life and it would make you successful in running your own business. There's also word or puzzle games like Bookworm Adventures where you need to form words to beat the enemy. Most console games gives us lessons in life. For those violent games, we can play it to relieve stress so that we don't vent it out in real life.

Yes things like PS2 & Xbox are making de useful brains of our little kids useless cause instead of learning new things they are full time hooked up to their gaming consoles rather than using & developing the useful time in making or thinking something creative

Yes they are not constructive but you could say that about things like darts, snooker, pinball machines the television etc.

I think video games are fine as long as they are in moderation. My stepson lives at home with his mother and is constantly on his Nintendo DS. When he comes over to visit, we have him leave it at home so that when we take him out (to the beach, shopping, parties, etc) his attention is on his surroundings rather than on his game system. I think its unhealthy to sit indoors and play a game system for hours on end. Kids should go outside and socialize with other kids.
