Why do people associate terrorism with religion?

I have the same porblem, some ignorants don't know about religions and they keep think that every person from my religion is a terrorist. I feel so sorry and I jsut want to let them know that GOd never said killed for your religion, he said defend yourself. he also said that "you have your religion and we have ours".

to be frank its the passion to make others follow our thoughts as a religion that creats terrorism. If you stop forcing some one then any sort of terrorism religious or social will come to an end.
