What laws have change in your area that will cost you money?

One of the things that has happened here is passports. If you want to cross the border I have been crossing for 54 years you now will need a passport. More money to spend.

This is not a law per se, but it is a legal issue. I live in a county and am about to be annexed by the city. I have no say in the matter. This will double my property taxes and provide no additional services to me. There ought to be a law against forced annexation.

Well that just sucks.
Do you gain anything for this, like better service for garbage removal or snow removal if you get snow?
The requirement here to have a passport now to travel outside of Canada is at least based on wether you will travel so it's a bit of a choice.
