why are guys hated when they turn 16?

It's seem like boys were loved before the age of 16. Women adore them cuddled, and protected them.
Then the tide have shift where mother start hollering at boys and say they have chores to do etc.....
Majority of mothers want boys, until they are a teenagers then they kick them out or they tell them to get a job.
when does the transition starts?
