Why does my cat like to sleep in the kitchen sink?

I game home to school once, and there he was, in the sink and looking quite happy about it. If i went to get some water, it didn't seam to bother him! I even made him wet and he still wodnt move! Wonder why does he like it in there?

beautifulst cat, looks at that it finds ideal to it and comfortable like bed where to sleep if then you want to make to remove the defect tries to wash the zone with detersivo with strong odore type citruses. hello

Mine likes to sleep in the sink, the tub and on top of the toilet. I was told the coolness of the porcelain rekieves them when they have joint pain. (feline arthritis). I guess thats good since they cant tekk us whats wrong.

I think you are right. it is winter and i keep it fairly warm, and during this season he loves the tub.

Yes we had a cat that would sleep in the sink occaisionally. We asked the vet why she would do this and she said there are a few reasons. When it's warm they do enjoy the coolness and so they seek out cooler places. Also they find the high sides of the sink comforting and can rest easier as they feel safer. Like they are hiding there...lol Pets do the strangest things, but usually they make sense when you think about it.

Cats seem to like high places! I guess he feels secure here. I'm sure he would run if you turned the water on...haha.

your lucky it only sleeps in the sink.mine sleeps on my girlfreinds head at nightime.if hes not there hes on the sky box,messing all the settings up!

I am not sure why your cat likes sleeping in the sink, but I think that it is really cute! I really enjoy reading animal behavoir stories. Our cats (when my family had them) loved to drink out of the bathtub faucet and such, but that's not the same as sleeping in a sink *laugh* Still, cats and other animals do the cutest things, don't they? ^_^ Check out this site if you like cute cat pics: http://www.stuffonmycat.com They have adorable pics on there! ^_^
