Cable Modem or DSL. I have always used cable modem and I have no complaints but my phone compnay has a very good deal on their DSL so I was wondering others experiences and if you think one is better then the other.

I use to have cable and now I have DSL. Cable is a bit faster but not so much that I could justify paying almost double the price. Not in my current financial situation. As it improves, however, I will probably have both because I will be entirely working from home and I will need to be able to get online if one or the other starts acting wonky.

I have had both and now have DSL. I can not really tell the difference. My computer is almost 6 years old and works fine with DSL. Unless you are doing some serious downloading, DSL is very cost effective for everyday usage.

you'll never go back to dial-up... - computer speed internet connection
DSL was not available in our area when we got our cable modem, so there was no decision in it for us. I have been extremely happy with the cable modem, though, and I don't think I'd change unless it was significantly less expensive. My mother in law just switched from dial up to DSL and it's working very well for her. If you're going to save a lot of money I'd say go for it!
