We all know the flu is not something you want to catch and it can be pretty serious if you do, every year our nurses and doctors are forced to get the flu vaccination due to caring for so many people and coming in contact with these viruses. I have never recieved the flu shot and have not had the flu for a little over 6 years or so, where as my mom who is a nurse gets sick at least once a year with the flu, after recieving the vaccination. Do you get the flu shot? if so do you get sick with the flu after recieving it? Any bad experiences? Would you recommend it? After all they are basically giving you the flu in the vaccination in order to have your body immunize against it.

I personally don't get them. They have changed so much from one year to the next as to who should, shouldn't and why and when. I don't work in an area where I'd be out wit a ton of sick people though, since I work from home, so that makes a difference too. When I got the flu shot years and years ago it was a live virus and it made me sick for literally a month. Later the doc said it was cuz I have MS but yet now they say the MS is the reason to get the shot!!! I give up. I don't bother.. if I get the flu I baby myself and watch the health issues.

I completley agree, it seems whenever someone gets the shot they get sick with flu. Best of luck and stay healthy!
