Decriminalise Heroin?

Is that the answer? Here in Britain we awash with the stuff and the cost to society in broken lives, crime and health resources is incalculable. The Afghan crop has multiplied by a factor of eight in the years of USA "controls". Though I have ernestly tried, I have failed to help, and lost dear friends, who turned into what I can only describe as evil zombie strangers under the spell of addiction. Recent events in Britain have shown that the authorities can close the supply of cannabis quite effectively. No doubt they are congratulating themselves. But I wish something serious could be done to adress what I see as a far more pressing need, the spread of Heroin and other hard drugs.

Sorry to hear about your friend, maybe you need to help him get out of this. I agree something needs to be done about that.

Thank you Lydia... It's a long time since I had that experience, but I had a neighbour die and leave two boys age 10 and 8, her hubby went missing a year ago after introducing her to the filthy stuff. :( Damn I hate the lack of will to do anything against this trade.
