Monogamy?

January 3, 2007 7:14pm CST
Are humans meant for monogamy? I mean all we see are relationship splitting up and breaking up. Relationships that have once had strong energy, were even themselves were convinced that this is the person they want. Yet a few years later bam, they break-up, they cant stand eachother. Instead talking about how much they love eachother they speak about how much they hate eachother. Eyes wander onto new faces. Is there hope? Is there a one true everlasting love that cannot be broken by silly things like boredom? please discuss.

In due course of time, somehowe we have abandoned the virtues of flexibility, adaptability, and adjustment. We have become more rude and uncompromising.Sad thing is that spirit of compassion which love evokes fails to quell the evils of false egoism, pride, boredom. It sounds silly, but education has liberated our minds beyond expectations and we are not willing to settle for anything less than moon, the end product is we fall apart

I don't think men are meant for monogamy. All through histroy you can find incidences of men having mopre than one wife. Even today their are religions that allow for more than one wife. Yet you don't find any thing about women having more than one husband.

very true indeed. it is probably because women are hindered with birth and men are not. thank you for your response.
