Radio Stations play music, but don't give artist or song title

I hear songs I like on radio stations and would like to download them, but don't know who the artist is or the title of the song. Sometimes I find them by searching for the key words I hear in the song, but alot of times I come up empty handed. What are some other ways to find song titles? I heard a song last night that I thought was by Bob Seger and the key words were "Shake down, break down". Does anyone know the song?

what i do is go on to the radio station web site and get the play list, also i sometimes go to music shop sites and on some of them you can listen to tracks or whole albums for free so you can then find exactly what you want, then download them..
