I have been invited to my moms friend wedding they have been friends forever andglad she has found love again after her hubby passed away but what do you get someone like this. And what to get for the bridal shower??? I'm sure a gag gift and lingerie might be a little to much and i don't want to make my moms friend mad.

As a wedding gift, we received a couple of gift cards for dinners out. Since we were established in our careers and already had furnished homes, and older, it was a perfect gift. We didn't use them immediately, but on special occassions like Valentines Day and Anniversary, Birthdays. As I said, I thought it was a perfect gift for the couple who already have everything to begin their lives together and also for couple who have already set up house by living together before the wedding nuptials.

You might give her bath salts or creams or a gift pack of diffenrt cosmetics she can use. She can use them for a long time and get to try out stuff she might not otherwise try out.

If they don't have a gift registry you could always give them a gift card or cash. One thing most newleyweds need is tupperware, pans, and bath towels.

candle garden
see if she is registered anywhere.. you can never go wrong with a great picture frame.. I usually make up a great candle garden.. buy a few candles different shapes and sizes, some sand and a cute box or ceramic square to put it in

I would get them a nice photo album. They have some at Hobby Lobby where their last name is placed on the cover and it also has a slot to place a picture. You could also throw in some scrap book materials. The books are fun to do and it would give them a place to keep their precious wedding photos. I love my scrapbook!

Gift certificates are great because they can get what they really need. Get one where ever they are registered. You could also get on for thier favorite resturant or the movies. Something they enjoy doing.

if you cant think of something, you can always look at their registry, or get them a gift card to a store they registered at.

Go to Bed Bath and Beyond and get them a really nice silky bed sheet set. For ym wedding I got a Willow Tree people thing and its really cool. I dont think they are very expensive but they are a neat little gift. Or ask if they are registerd anywhere.

wedding time capsule - A collection of things the bride and groom can use to forever remember their special day.
Gift baskets/sets are always a good casual gift. Check out this cool wedding time capsule... kinda unique I think. You can find this and lots of other stuff at www.cajuncountrygifts.com/go.cgi?shop=6102
