OK here is the problem. Last weekend, i knocked over the deep fat fryer and all the oil spilled all over the floor. Tried cleaing it with water and it didnt work it only made things worse so how do we clean up the mess?

Oil and water do not mix. The best thing to do is always mix the water with something that will cut the oil. Dawn dishwashing liquid with some vinegar would probably get it up now that you have mixed the water with the oil.

If it's still oily/slippery, use something dry like flour or wood shavings, oil dry. Rub it on dry, let it stand for awhile, rub it around again and sweep it up. You will get alot of it up, may have to do more than once. If you are after the stain left behind you can try Goop, it's a waterless handcleaner used by mechanics and it gets oily things off of wood. Good luck.
