Hmmm... $1000... I think I'll keep it because I am lucky to have found it and I don't intend to give my luck away. Maybe I'll give something like $50 to a poor person that I'll run into that day... Maybe...

If I found 1000 I would donate half of it to my church. and use the other half to pay off some of my debt.

Give it to charity after I would try to find the owner. A charity could get more use out of it then I ever could.
