Rent is getting higher and higher every year.Sometimes people find it less expensive than buying a house. In the long term though is it really? If you have to pay heating, and other services doesnt it come out too more than if you owned a house.Every city has different rates. How much do you pay for rent? What does it include? How big is the place you rent.I live in montreal and i have a duplex..We rent upstairs and it costs$750 for a 5 and half(that is 3 bedrooms,1 bathroom, kitchen and living room.Heating is not included so its$200a month

Ohhh..that's really expensives isn't it?? We stay in Arlington ,Texas and pay $475 per month and an additional $80-$120 for utilities. It is expensive in this area since the University is close by. and tha partment we live in is pretty old fashioned. Buying a house is definitely a better option than paying rent esp when you are planning on living here for a long time. It's been 6 years since my hubby came to the US and he keeps telling me for the rent he has paid till now for this apartment he should be owning it by now..hehe! He hasn't changed apartments since the first time he came here. We hope to move soon.

It is expensive depending on what area you live in.Here in montreal in depends where you live.If you live downtown ur near the city and near all the stores and bars so rent can go up to like$1500 for a 5 and a hlaf its insane.

We live in a three bedroom house and pay $800/month That is a reasonable figure in The town we live. (Tasmania) Heating, phone etc are all extra. Electricity costs about $$00 a quarter which includes heating.

I don't pay rent, as I own a home. However I have been looking at rents. They run from around $500 to $1000. a month for a one bedroom apartment. Heating is extra. To rent you throw out your money. To own, you build up equity. Please rate me best response if you are pleased with my answer. Thanks, God bless, M&M
