Also myLot have ways to discover copy-pasted posts, it still apply the rather annoying rule that people with less then 500 credist cant copy-paste. However, if you use firefox or just turn off java support in Explorer you can copy & paste as you wish...

Why copy and paste anyways, thats why there is soo much spam on here...If spam is not aloud, then copy nad paste shouldnt because it contributes to it.

There are many good reasons to copy and paste. For one thing I just posted a recipe on another site and wanted to share it here, but couldn't because I couldn't cut and paste. But perhaps the best reason is mylot has no edit feature. If you write in your word program first, do the spell checking, edit it, then copy and paste it here it makes for a lot higher quality, rather than winging it here, making mistakes, posting them, and then having no way to fix them. This site is becoming less and less 'writer friendly'. The harder they make it to use, the fewer of us will bother stopping by.

But I dont use it to cheat :X I only use it to copy corrected words from the dictionery. I just stated a point that theres a bug in their system. It's not my problem, it's theirs.

Thanks for your findings...but I don't need them. Anyway I have more than 1000 messages. And I copy and past only short things. Don't copy and past long things or try to cheat because you will be signaled to myLot and will be banned..loosing all your earnings!

Yes .. copy and pasting is still easy to do even though they have stopped the 'usual' more straight forward way. I think it's a reasonable idea to stop folks copying and pasting .. but lets be realistic after 500 posts everyone can copy and paste what they like anyway .. so is there a real advantage to stopping them for a few posts ..?? One of the reasons I need to copy and paste is because I have fibromyalgia syndrome and when I get fatigued my spelling goes out the window .. so to make my posts readable I first type them in my email software and use it's onboard spell checker .. of course I then need to get them into MyLot which means copy and pasting ... ! Another reason I can imagine folks needing to copy and paste is if they have very high Internet Provider charges ... and some countries do make big charges for the time folks are online .. if I had that kind of service I would quickly look for the discussions I wanted to reply to .. shortcut them all . .. then go offline until I had written all my replies then come back online to post my replies which I would need to coppy and paste in of course .. but that way you could save a lot of money .. One thing I do know is if I am going to post a description of something technical I would always look to see if the product maker had a synopsis of the item .. I would then copy that to post (bearing in mind copyright rules etc).. far better to get it right than to ramble on about flashing lights, bells and buttons etc and no one knowing what the heck I was talking about .. So copying and pasting isn't necessarily 'just' copying vast chunks of work to save time and 'steal' that work .. it's a valuable tool that can make for better replies ...

Even if you can do it , it's not fun participating in discussions here if you do that. Mylot is more than money making machine.
