Do you think that our children will have it better than us?

I have a teenage daughter and it seems that there isn't much of a chance at her having a better life than me or my parents. Technology was supposed to improve our lives but instead it seems to be taking over. Instead of thinking for herself, all she has to do is google to find an answer. Beyond inventing something or becoming famous it seems she is doomed to become just another person who is struggling to make it from paycheck to paycheck. I know this sounds so pessimistic but I'm beginning to think it's just the reality of the world we live in today.

I don't think I have it so bad so I hope that my kids have at least as good a life as I do.

Maybe you should teach your daughter to think for herself then. You say that like it's an inevitability. Well, upbringing starts at home. It's not technology that's endangering the future, it's politics.
