I just checked my inbox to find a letter from "Bill Cobbs".. Telling me how the ebay fees are going up, AGAIN. Do you all know that ebay and paypal are basically one entity? Doesn't that just grind your gears? Ebay was great when it first came out, cheap to list, cheap to ship, cheap to sell.. What are we left with now? The prices to ship things went up, the prices to list things went up, the percentage that ebay took for final value went up, the fee for paypal once you accept creditcards because you had a bidder from JAPAN win your auction.. You end up with little to no profit. Sellers are over charging for the cost of shipping to make up the price hike from the postal service, and to make up the fees since ebay doesn't take their percentages from the shipping.. So while ebay was fun for me to sell with "back in the day" I think I've just about completely lost my taste for buying from them too... Thanks alot Ebay!

Ditto. I too have ceased selling on ebay due to all the increases in postage and sellers fees. The last few times I have purchased from there (only because I could not find the item elsewhere) I was raped on postage and 'handling fees.' Was a nice place until the greed set in.

At least I'm not alone! I can't believe the prices to ship things anymore.. 8.95 to ship a lil toddlers creeper! I mailed an almost 1 pound package to japan via global priority and it cost 8.95! That was LAST month.. So tell me people aren't being greedy!

Ebays fees are way to high. The insertion fee is usually what I can afford but then the final value fee is what kills my earnings. I hate the final value fee. I wish I was the one who thought up the idea and was in charge of ebay I would be a billionare lol. I would make things much cheaper to list though. I wouldnt charge people so much to list things as ebay does. Fees are out of control. Right now for the past week and a half fees have been free to list no matter what price you start your auction at as long as you list with the auction and not the buy it now. The insertion fee is free to list until September 7th I believe it is. I have totally taken advantage of this and during this free to list period I've listed 25 things. That would have cost me at least $6.25 usually. I am still going. I have a lot left to list. It will be nice to get it listed and get it out of here.
