Since I quit somking I have been living a better life. I quit December 31st 2005...over a year now and I have not had a one! I have been able to do more physical activity without getting winded and I enjoyed the taste of food more. Also, when you just quit you can see how bad you smelled, so I smell better now too! In ohio they just passed a no smoking law in bars and resturants! It's great not having that around. I am not even tempted by it anyone. Anyone else have the same type experience as me?

How did you ever do it? I have tried many times but without success. Also, I don't need for food to taste any better.

I quit cold turkey honestly... After about a month the smell made me sick and I got dizzy feelings *like when I first started to smoke* when I was around the fumes too much. I had a lot of willpower and knowing it would kill me and prevented me from playing volleyball to my full potential I just quit.

Yes, that´s exactly how I feel about it. I stopped smoking about 6 years ago and I felt a lot better healthwise ever since. My hair and clothes smell better and I don´t wheeze like an old train any more when I have to run or walk up the stairs. Food tastes better, because my tastebuds are getting back to normal (free of nicotine). I don´t feel tempted at all to start smoking again.

I stopped smoking before I went to college. I have decided to quit smoking so I can change my way of living. Youth just wanted to smoke because of peer pressures, "just to be in the club" or "to be one of them" or "belongs to the clan", they dont want to be out of place. I want my children to inheret a healthy lungs but it would be their responsibility how to protect it.
