Don't feel qualified to talk about mothers abandoning kids, being a guy. Men abandoning kids is another matter. Whether admitted or not, you are responsible, you do have a role to play, and it is your business. I really cannot imagine abandoning a child. It's arguably the laziest, most selfish form of child abuse out there. This has nothing to do with morality, it's about your responsibility to another human being. A person without obligations is a person without honesty. (Ah, these epigrams... but I mean it.)

it depends how the "abandoned" their child. My son's father abandoned him with me for 4 months, we didn't know where he was or anything, to this day i don't feel he should have visitation rights but that is not my decisions, now if sopme abandons a baby like on the doorstep to a police station, hospital or fire station, okay at least they did the right thing there if they knew they could not provide for the baby, but it's the people that just leave them in a house or out on the street that really make me mad.
