I have a best friend who is blind and I asked her the same question. SHe says that it's because when people are blind, their eyes ten to roll un-naturally and twitch and people think they are sighted. It's more for the sighted people not to be offended by thses things.

Hmm, I'm trying hard to take this question seriously. The blind wear dark glasses so people can't see their eyes because they move around a lot and sometimes roll back. Ears don't move when you can't hear anything through them.

Not all blind people wear dark glasses, and those who do don't do that to let people know they're blind: many people who are blind are light-sensitive, so wear dark glasses to stop the light hurting their eyes. If someone wants to tell you they're deaf or blind or have some other physical impairment, I'm sure they will. People who have a broken leg don't wear a plaster-cast and use crutches just to let you know they've got a broken leg you know!

Because Society can be mean to Blind People and go "Ewwwww look at his/her eyes!!! they're THIS or they're THAT! Thats so Gross!!!" whereas Society dont go "EWWWW look at his/her ears!!" Ears are covered by ya hair most times anyway.

Blind people wear dark glasses for many reasons. I think most of the time is because their eyes are open but maybe roll to the back of their head so they wear glasses so people don't have to see it, some have light sentitive eyes, there's loads of reasons. There isn't any reasons for a deaf person to wear earmuffs..
