Yup! it's to long story, but the origin of "ORTIZ" came from spanish then they spread at mexico U.S and Philippines.

i dont know if that is possible. my family is from two different worlds and i guess that would make it hard for me and my family to trace our roots.

It depends upon you. To others, tracing their roots is like paying homeage to their ancestors, while others want to complete the missing pieces in their life. You'll never what will come up sooner or later..
