Licorice Ice cream

I have always loved licorice ice cream, a few places still sell it but not always easy to find...here is a link on how to make it...

But on a recent television cooking show a lazy way to make it was shown, just melt some licorice and mix with everyday vanilla ice cream...hmmmmm sounds sooooo good to me...

In Mexico, they have tequila icecream (my husband's favorite)- and rose petal icecream (tastes mostly vanilla, but smells of fresh roses)...sublime

Where on earth do they sell this??? I LOVE licorice so much... I haven't made ice cream since I was a little kid with my mom, but I have to try this! It seems like the perfect marriage between two of my favorite treats! Thanks for the link!

its not easy to find but you do see it around or make your own, I saw a chef on the telly making it, just melt the licorice and stir into vanilla ice-cream then you can tell everyone you made it yourself....:)

I wonder if I would like licorice ice cream. Is it black or red licorice? Because I hate black licorice...but I love the red.

i love ice cream too...i havent tasted licorice ice cream yet and i dont think they have that one here in the philippines..ill look around. thanks!

I've never heard of licorice ice cream. I dont think they sell it here in the US, but I've never liked black licorice anyway..I do like cherry licorice though Lol but actually, I think the mix of the licorice with vanilla ice cream might be kinda yummy.. I usually only like oreos or chocolate chips in my ice cream..or maybe some peanuts ..but my fav'rit is peppermint stick..yuuuum
