What are the best bractices while resigning from any job

Dear Friend, I don't know the proper etiquette in India but normally people should not resign before they have a written offer from another company which also specifies the starting date. You should give at least two weeks notice in your present company. If written notice is required thank the company for the opportunity they have given you and explain the reasons why you are leaving (Better career opportunity, new job fits skills sets, etc). You should never burn your bridges behind you because you never know when you need a reference from the company that you are leaving. Good luck to you.
