We went to Tahiti on our honeymoon. We went to Moorea and Bora Bora. It was beautiful and relaxing. It was just what we needed. I would love to go back some day.

Hi, I live in Tahiti and I'm happy you chose my island for your honeymoon and more happy because you went to Moorea and Bora Bora because there's more to see there... I just mean that Tahiti lost a little bit of her nature, of her original aspect, it has become a city, even though small, it's a pity... Come back again!

Cool. So, do you actually live in Tahiti? How often do you go to the other islands?

Well my mother lives in Rangiroa, and I go to visit her every 2 month. I sometimes go to Manihi and of course to Moorea. I just like going to the other islands to rest, to breath pure air, get tanned, and eat coconut hearts ( uto ) I don't know if you ever tasted it when you were here, it's so delicious. You should come back some times.

Hi Rachel! I was born in Tahiti, but we live now in the Philippines. But my parents go back to Tahiti from time to time. I'm so glad you love the islands. Where have you stay in Moorea? I'm not anymore familiar with hotels there, because we left when I was around 14-16, something like that. And my dad use to work as a tourist guide and at Hotel Beachcomber and Hotel Tahara. Well, I miss my island so much and my friends. I hope someday when I have enough budget and time, I could go back there. I hope you took a trip of the island first before leaving. There are so many beautiful sites to see in Tahiti. And the food, especially when it is sunday is very good and with lots of tahitian dance. I'm so glad I came by your post. Hay! made my sweet memories of Tahiti to come back. Have a nice day Rachel! (^^,)

Neat. I've never known anyone from Tahiti (except the people I actually saw there). I hope you get to go back soon.

I went to French Polynesia on the way back from Australia. I spent some time in Papeete, on Tahiti. I also took the ferry to Moorea, where I stayed in a dorm on a campground that was on a section of beach and had a beautiful lagoon. I really liked the people there. I got to try to use some of the French that I'd learned. At some point it would be nice to get back there, see Bora Bora, some of the Marquesas, and perhaps do that on a Tahitian Cruise.

My husband and I are planning to go to Tahiti 5 years from now on our 10 yr anniversary. We've been planning it for a few years and it may seem silly, but I really can't wait to go! The islands look so beautiful. We're going to stay in an overwater bungalow although I haven't decided on a hotel yet. I'm thinking Bora Bora, though. Do you have a reccomendation? What kind of trip did you have - fancy hotels or watching the budget a little? We want to go all out because we've never had a big trip together and we want it to be the best ever!
