whats better being a volunteer firefighter or being a fool time firefighter

My knowledge seems short but i do know that Volunteers have more well at my station they do more training then paid and they even pay for you classes. what do you think about that and what would you choose?

I'm afraid of fire so, that wouldnt be a good job for me...lol.
