Is there really an end to a rainbow? Have you ever seen the end of a rainbow?

I have seen a few rainbows. I love it when they appear. I would like to know if there is really an end to the rainbow or can you never really see the end because of optical illusion? What does a rainbow look like from the other side? What about from above? I have always wondered these things. thanks.
