If we did not have the internet, I would be watching tv or going bowling more often or spending time with family or friends. There is always something to do out there to keep us busy or to entertain us. I just got back from my bowling league so I can do without a computer if that were the case.

NOOOOO!! MY LIFE WOULD END AS WE KNOW IT!!!!I CANT IMAGINE IT!!! LOL..actually it would really make me sad..and bored, especially in the winter time..I dont get out much because of my back..and this time of year is the worse as well, and i depend on my socialization online every night,,But if i didnt have it,i would probably watch more TV,because im usually on it at night, when my son goes to bed,and i alkso love playin games online as well..but i guess i would end up buying more games to play with too.

Yes, I hear you there~
During the winter, and if you have physical problems that don't allow you that 'freedom' anymore, etc, the loss of the internet would be a much greater impact~
I don't mean to sound 'thank-less' in regards to it..Am just curious as to people's whereabouts without it's existence~? I remember before it all hit the scene, and to those who are not old enough to remember that, it must sound almost 'Alien' in some way~
TY for your response!

I agree that i would also probably 'get out' alot more! I guess the internet provides an easy, and even dare i say lazy, way of 'getting out' without going out~
I am thankful for the many resources it provides, that would otherwise be back-breaking to find..I look forward to the day i can tell my children about my childhood. No stories about walking 10 miles to school in 3 feet of snow..i'll just tell them about growing up without the internet, and i think their eyes will be wide enough at just that!
