Is air travel really safe?

when you travel by plane has the thought ever occured to you that can this be it (crash) or you are perfectly confident that it is safe?

some people say that it is even safer than travelling on land where there are so many road accidents. thanks!

There is nothing is really safe on this earth all have a risk. all people have to die so why you scared to die. :)
