I bet you have a SuperPet cage. I had to toss that thing. All the kids could escape from it. It took little or no effort. Now they just have free reign on their own bedroom. I only cage them at night, in case of a fire or something. I use Marshall cages, and no one has ever escaped.

When we had a smaller cage (when we just had 1 ferret) he learned how to escape from it. Otis was very good at sneeking out and finding your toes to let you know that he was out. They are quite the little sneekers. =)

That's just what ferrets do!!! :) It's really really funny to watch them do it. I had owned four at one point, and all of them knew how to open the doors. I tried a lot of different things to keep them in, and found these clips at the hardware store that kept them in. The best thing you can teach your ferret, however, is to come everytime you ring a bell. We had a ferret escape out the front door once, and when we rang the bell, she came a-runnin'! To do this, simply ring the bell every time you give your ferret a yummy treat! Pretty soon, it'll run from wherever it is when you ring the bell! Good luck with your ferret! Sometimes they're too smart for thier own good!
