europe and the future?

Europe is forming the last 40 years the european union and i am really curius if all this effort of all the countries that are forming the european union will finally end in a worl economic power.the world economy the last 15 years is not good at all and i want to know what will be the future for europe a union that is not after making Wars to fix her economy?

haha was that a reference to america. but yeh i cant really tell you for sure, im not an expert in the subject but i hear that britian's better off for not joining the single currency. that is just 1 tiny slice of the whole pie though
