DO you know of people meeting in chatrooms and marrying each other? I have met 2 such couples and I still find it hard to believe. How about you - what are your views?

I met my husband in a chatroom. I ended up lucky. We met in person and 7 months later were married. We've been married for 3.5 years.

Rejoice with you USchick.... I guess it's perhaps about the readiness of 2 people to commit themselves to each other.

My friends met her fiance over the internet. They met after 3 months and then when he returned home he decided he wanted to move in with her so he moved here. They now live in his home town. They are planning in getting married next year and having kids before she turns 30. SHe's 27 right now! I think they make a great couple and they both show their affection for eashother so you know they are really in love!

I think chatroom is startung the process. Before marrying, couples meet each other, see each other and understanding is developed

I have friends that met in a chatroom and are now married. They are very happy. He lived in England and she lives in the U.S. They spent about three years talking online and he came to visit her about once a year. Now they are married and living in the U.S. I see nothing wrong in this, I just don't feel it would work for me. I am a more hands on type of person.

I met my partner in a chat room, but neither of us want to get married. I also know another couple who met in a chat room who are getting married next year. I think that chat rooms can be a great way to meet people, as long as you are very careful and take all the necessary precautions.

I know of quite a few people thathave met this way. I think they were better off because they had these long talks and open communication that laid the path for a strong relationship.

It is better than getting married through mail correspondence. Nope I am not surprised one bit.

well, not me personally but my sister got engaged over the computer once. It was all good until he came to move in with her for them to get to know each other better. It cost him alot of money for a ticket since he was coming from Australia but after a couple months they ffound out they weren't as compatible as they thought so htey broke up. How do we know people tell the truth in chat rooms? you cannot know you have to take the other persons word for it.It's like playing a game with people thats why I basically stay away from chat rooms.
