if we rate a question negative, is our earning deducted?

I saw a question, which is totaly in the negative sense. But it still got about 60 responses. I dont know why. But i didnt agree with the question. So, I rated it negative. Now, my earning for yesterday is very low, inspite of large number of posts, less than yesterday. dont understand what is the reason. Please reply. I was expecting at least 1.5 $ but its just abt 1$. why so?
