What does it take to be a good friend?

it really takes alot to be a good friend but the most important of all is trust without trust there cannot be worthy relationship between two intellects after trust others can foloow..

well, i think honesty comes first. if your friend is dishonest with you, he is just a friend out of interest. then, a perfect friend has to be trustworthy, he should be able to keep for himself everything you tell him. and, finally, a perfect friend should always be there for you when you need him the most. that's what i think... have a nice day

Loyalty is a big key, being there whenever your friend needs it the most. I do think being honest is another one, and open communication is another big key. Always listening and being true to your friends will help you keep any friend.
