tell me a real ghost story

ive got one but its not exciting or really scary i guess. About ten years ago i lived in a house in the middle of a picture post card village. The house was very old and had an atmosphere. It was on three floors, a bedroom, a middle room and a living room below with a small kitchen off it. All was good but one day my wife was working in the kitchen when she shouted through to me that someone had touched her shoulder, there was nothing there. Later that night i was working with paper work in the front room, my wife had gone to bed, and i distinctly heard a female voice saying its Sarah, just Sarah, over and over again. This started to trouble me but much more was to come. A few days later my wife was working in the bedroom when she saw a young girl walk from one end of the room to the other, she was about 12 years old dressed in a floor-length blue dress. She never spoke but just faded away. I saw her 3 days later, she walked across the living room. Now my wife and I are academics so we carried out research in to the house. Imagine our shock when we found out that in our house in the year 1852 a familly called woodcock had lived there, a mother, father and 7 children, the eldest girl was called sarah, she was 12 in 1852. In May 1852, a dam of water gave way and millions of gallons of water swept down the valley, sweeping away most of the village. In our house the family were asleep , all were lost except the father and a young male child, Sarahs body has never been found but she still walks the earth, of that i have no doubt
