...Was really scary or the best one you ever saw and then later on in life you watched the same film and laughed so hard at how cheesy it was against todays blockbusters.

Oh frightnight yet another classic, although I was not a fan of the sequel though. Anyway it was slightly scary just had a lot of that eighties cheese that populated films at that time what with the music etc.

I LOVE Fright Night! The first time I saw it, it was scary. But after that, I just thought it was hilarious! I own the DVD down. It's one of the best B movies from the 80's, in my opinion!

The only thing that really scared me about jaws was when the kid got killed in it, because I was'nt used to kids dying in scary horror films, it upset me a s child.

I saw Play Misty For Me and physcho as a young child. They set me on the road to hating horror movies. I have watched them since I became an adult and can not find anything scary about them. but I sitll do not like horro, just physchological thrillers now.

When I was a kid, this movie called the Brood scared the crap out of me. I wasn't supposed to be up watching it, but I was sneaky like that. It was about a woman who had a bunch of murderous children dressed in snowsuits. Thank God I don't remember much about it now. I think it was on HBO when HBO was the only home movie channel, that's how long ago it was. I slept with my head under the covers for months, lol. It must not have been too cheesy compared to today's horrors, I don't recall ever being scared from a movie like that since then.

1960 Sylvania television - seeing movies as a kid did not happen since tv went color about 1964? Don't remember the year, however, I do know that movies were only seen at the movie theatre and we did not go to many.
Can't say that I have since I remember black and white television and 3 whole channels. Movies were not part of my homelife until in my teens and then only when I moved out did I go to movies with friends. Nothing has been really scary til these days with the advent of Saw, 28 days later, and house of 1000 corpese. Our best movies that we watch over and over again are usually not blockbusters.

"It's Alive". I watched in about 1975, when I was 10. I had nightmares for weeks about that baby coming back and getting me. LOL Now, I look back on it and it was hysterical by today's standards.
