I also like drawing and used to draw horses, unicorns and dragons in my early teenage years(one of my dragons is on my profile)I also wanted to improve my drawing skills many years ago when I had some time on my hands. I purchased a book called Drawing on the Right Side Of the Brain. There were many techniques in there for improving the skills amazingly! One side of the brain is generally more dominant in each person and if a person is more of a talker(dominant left side of the brain)they tend to not be able to draw as well as a person who is a more dominant right sider of the brain. So the idea is to trick the left side of the brain in to being quiet for a few minutes for the more intuitive right side of the brains chance to shine :)and put some of that on paper :)

Practice is the best answer - I would like to recommend a yahoo group called Everyday Matters you are given a challenge each week to draw ordinary things for example this week's challenge is a bar of soap. when you have completed the challenge you upload it and invite critiques from this very friendly and supportive group - you'll see some amazing talent there and the weekly challenge keeps you motivated to improve your skills. Good luck

practice, practice practice. improving a skill or talent also takes you a step higher by taking on something you haven't done before. It could be a style of drawing, a different medium, or even concepts that are completely different from yours. there are a lot of books out there but many say the same basic things. I found it refreshing and challenging to look at other people's art online. sometimes they give new ideas and concepts. perhaps (if your not a member of one just yet) you could join one of the art websites that also provide forums for artists to post and comment on their art. i usually visit www.gfxartist.com. this site services photographers, painters, manual and digital artists. there's also deviantart.com I hope you have fun with your art!

Everybody will advise to practice and practice heaps. This is probably the most common response one will hear towards the question of 'how must I improve', etc. The skill of perceiving things can be improved and made better - there are some exercises such as pure contour drawing, modified contour drawing, negative spaces, etc. etc. The natural way to draw is learning to use the right side of the brain to better your perception. There are several books on this. I guess that's all from me on drawing skills.. As you further progress you could develop a style and use various different mediums.

drawing can be improve by practicing. because practice means perfect. Auto Cad Software is helpful can help you much on this. Although I used this as for my profession in doing plans,. But some use this on rendering. Maybe much better is by doing manual because even in a silent place alone can make a drawing of nature or anything you like. So when you make an exhibit you will earning. Your from sweden . and here in the philippines my country your country employ us the swede survey technology. Its a about high technology application in surveying of lands. So if you know please inform me too.I will be updating and will use the program. So if you know much and can refer me to the best person to contact in order to increase my knowledge. I would be thankful to go about it.

Since everyone has already said practice, I will suggest that you work on your weakest areas. It may be hard to tell what that is, so you could ask other people what they think your strongest and weakest areas are. An artist told me that when she was in college, her professor saw what she needed work on. He put a notebook on her desk and said, "Fill that with trees." She now paints beautiful trees.

as everybody may have told you. Practice makes perfect the best way for you to improve is to practice. Then practice some more. If you have the time and the money, maybe you can enter an art class. If not, maybe you can buy art books and learn from there

what 'improve' do u want? 'more' what? from your letter, i include that u have tallent for drawing. so, i suggest that u must find your own style from your practice for a long time. not plagiatism. Maybe u are inspirated by someone, but don't follow them. to be different is important for an artist. that's make them to be famous. ex, savador dali, surealis; Van Gogh, postmodern, etc. they have a weird pic. they are famous painter because they want to be different. right? that only my opinion.=) good luck

Its only practice makes u perfect. moreover u should b proud that drawing skill is a god's gift to u. In ur leisure time hav a keen observation on a object u are interested, try to draw it in all angles. This improves ur thinking ability of that object and makes u get rectification of ur mistakes and errors in the sketch.

IM NOT SO GOOD IN DRAWING BUT PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT IM NOT AS GOOD AS THOSE WHO MAKE FACE PORTRAITS, BUT I HAVE MY OWN ART AND GOOD EYES FOR MY COLLECTION. ENROLL URSELF IN AN ART SCHOOL OR READ TIPS ONLINE. ASK THE PROFESSIONALS. THEY HAVE THE UNIQUE ABILITY TO KNOW WHERE TO START AND HOW TO MAKE IT EASIER. WATCH CARTOON CHANNELS ITS A GOOD OBSERVATION AND SOMETIMES THEY HAVE DRAWINGS LIVE. GOODLUCK WITH THAT
