What you wish the Information Technology would have been?

The computer/information/Internet technology we now have and experience is a result of an evolution. Like the Internet, it is an integration of many innovations and inventions. Technologies newly introduced may have claimed to be an enhancement of its predecessor. In such, the technology we now have may have rooted from a flaw. And that new technologies being developed is just padding the flaw and will eventually make things more complex and difficult. If you are to change something from the computer/information/Internet technology, what would it be? How would you want it changed?

I wish it would have been used for positive purposes only. But today many people are using it negatively. I hate this and wish that it had not happened.

I wish that too that it should have been used more in the positive side. Ignoring the negatives, the technologies today have made life easier, convenient and efficient. Thanks for the response anyway but dont you have something specific in mind that would make lives even better by altering existing technology?

The internet, and its corresponding technology, was invented per se. The Internet wasn't invented from a flaw. It was expanded from the telephone and the telephone's abilities to enhance networking. Humans network all the time and the internet is just an appendage of their networking abilities. I wish their could be more transparency in the internet. I love disclosure statements. I wish they would pass the .xxx domain for pornsites. I wish parents would take more responsibility for their children's activities on the net. I would require that anything on the internet to explain its purpose and its intent. Anyone else?

Transparency in what context? I believe the Internet is on it way, making itself more secure. I think most people like anonymity. Dont you think transparency is going to be more as an issue?

I would want it to be more common, so people can interact easily through it, the thing I don't like about reality is that the second you see a person you only look at the outside when you don't really know who is it. I wish there was some way so you know who is that person the second you look at him.
