Hey.. I am planning to visit Australia this summer. I wanted to know some of the best places to visit in this country. I will be landing in Melbourne, Australia. I will be travelling to Sydney also. I am a very adventorous person overall. I will be looking to have some great thrills in my journey. I wanted to know except for the beaches, what are some other good places to visit in this country?

If you get a chance, I would try to go to Australia Zoo in Queensland. That is pretty far from Melbourne, but if at all possible, I would go there. I have never been but only hear great things about it. Oooh, and I would try to go on a guided Outback tour, too!

If I have a chance to visit Australia I will probably go to Sydney. I would also love to see the Great Barrier Reef.

My daughter lives in Australia near to Newport on the northern beaches north of Sydney. She says it is a lovely place (near to where they film Home and Away, the Australian tv series). I have heard Brisbane is a nice city and there are a lot of interesting places along the eastern coast. Hope you have a good time.

Hi, Melbourne is a great place to begin your trip. I live in Melbourne so I should know *laughs* If you are into surfing and the beach you should definately drive down The Great Ocean road to Warnambool. It's an incredible drive and you'll see some of the most amazing scenery of beaches in the world. There are a lot of great surf beaches along the way too. Once you hit Warnambool, there is a great area for whale watching. And yet again more great surf beaches. Sydney is great also. Lots of touristy things to do there in the city. Harbour bridge and Opera house ect... If you can make it to Queensland I'd definately recomend you do it. The further you go north the more amazing it is. Cairns is a great little town to check out in the north of Queensland. The Great Barrier Reef is not far from there, and it is spectacular. The Northern Territory is also amazing to visit if you are into nature and hiking. Lots of incredible National Parks with waterfalls and natural springs. I used to live in Darwin and even though it is a very small town, it is gorgeous. So there are a few suggestions for the start of your holiday. Hope it's helped you out a little. Have a great trip here, and I hope you have so much fun. I'm sure you will!
