What do you prefer; downloading songs from from internet or buying them from sho

Though it takes more time, but I try to download songa from internet as I am a very lazy person and avoid going out to but an MP3 which is quite chep. Though my mother says that there is no problem in downloading from net, but she also feels that it leads to more electricity bill which I also feel, but all the same I would like to know, whether you prefer downloading from the internet or buying a cheap MP3?
