that is so true. i some are so scared of the truth that they have trained themselves to believe the lies. when some is cheated on and they know it, they choose not to believe it. why? because pretending not to know feels better and doesn't hurt. if you don't hurt you don't learn, if you don't see, you don't grown, you don't listen you become stuck. life is to short to live that way! Let's Wake Up.

People do tend to pretend when they are hiding from the truth. Hiding from reality, though, only holds back the pain for so long and when you finally face the truth, you find yourself feeling worse than you would have in the first place. Like you said "if you don't hurt, you don't learn". One becomes so accustomed to not facing the truth, that they are unable to react to reality positively.

I think that is often times true. Our beliefs and how we see the world is often based on our life experiences, background, religion etc and sometimes we confine the things around us to those. The obvious things will miss us because we are often looking for something else, sometimes it's not done on purpose, it has to do with the mind. It's like reading through a passage several times and not seeing the obvious errors until someone points it out and then you think how did I not see that, but the fact is the mind believed it to be the correct thing so we didn't see:-)

Excellent, excellent point. It has been often said that what we see is what we get. But how do we know that what we see is reality? We don't, because like you said it has to do with the mind. Our minds are programmed based on our experiences and on our strong opinions on the matter. In our minds, we see perfection...but in reality, there is a possibility for errors.
