Birdwatching as a hobby is most rewarding as it helps people to go out and be close to nature and also study the birds which are part of their city environment...it not only helps to know more interesting things on the bird life, it also makes on realize how every thing in nature - all living and non living things are inter-connected and inter-dependent making them more aware of the enviornment around them and to realize how important to protect the environment for a healthy life for all now as well as for the future generations...through birdwatching one can fulfil their interests in other hobbies like photography, travelling to new places and meeting new friends who are also interested in birds and environment....with all these benefits, it is good if every city or province has a bird wachers groups or club to promote this health hobby....

I havent tried bird watching before. But i think that this is a good hobby. Whenever i think about this, it makes me think that it may be a good stress reliever. I am not familiar with different kinds of birds. This hobby will help people like me to be educated with them.

I would have never considered actually going bird-watching because I'm not very interested in birds. But after reading this post, you give a great reason for actually bird watching. It is more about the experience and being one with nature. I love being in nature and I think I might have to give birdwatching a try!

I know this discussion is about 5 years old, but I have to say that I fully agree with your point, and I really like to go on birdwatching!
